ABOUT

Song based on C scale and played with 4 chords.

“Your Ex” started as a way to playfully deal with feeling uneasy when dating someone who still had a complex connection with their ex-partner. At first, I wrote the lyrics humorously, talking about a night when I saw them together and noticed similarities. I wondered if there were unclear boundaries I wasn’t aware of. The chorus aimed to show my surprising confidence, saying, ‘If I worried, these are the wild thoughts I’d have,’ while recognizing I felt secure and my feelings weren’t at risk.”
